So you can probably see where I’m going with this. I tend to enjoy electronic music for its endless possibilities of styles and combinations. Moombahton is, to my understanding, a combination of reggaeton and house oriented EDM. “Big room” refers to music suitable for what the name suggests, music that is to be enjoyed best in a large venue. The synths are heavily reverbed and bass tends to be relatively static and sub vibrating. Kudos to Hansel Thorn for finding the sweet spot between these two movements with his latest offering, Shake It. While the title of the song may not scream novelty, the production gives us the best of its two genre parents. Have fun with this one.
