Electronic festivals have been popping up everywhere in the past few years.  From the outside looking in, its like the field of dreams – “If you book them, they will come”  – but that might not always be the case.  IMF kicked off on Aug 23, 2014 with a lineup that had a ton of local flair and some big names – like Excision – that bring the crowds of bass loving fans.

Although months has passed since the festival left Orlando, news has recently bubbled up that the owner of IMF actually stiffed some of the people that made the festival possible.   Although none of the parties would go on record, we have reason to believe that the owner of IMF Events stiffed some people by not actually paying for their “comped” hotel rooms – causing the charges to appear on their person credit cards months later.  One person claims to be out over $10k for their part in putting on the festival.

It should come as no surprise that the website is down and the owner of Independence Music Festival could not be reached for comment (although we welcome it).

I wouldn’t hold your breath for Independence Music Festival 2015.  This is why we can’t have nice things.
